Couple of thoughts here.
Ben Settle is one of my favorite marketing gurus. He calls them gooroos to mock them because he thinks most of them are full of BS.
Anyway, Ben just published a little kindle book called, “Persuasion Secrets of the World’s Most Charismatic & Influential Villains.”
His thesis is you can learn a lot from villains. Even if you’re not one yourself.
So last night, I was watching my favorite crime drama/cop buddies show set in Hawaii. There’s a story arc this season about a serial killer named Madison. The H50s crew speculates that she’s such a brilliant strategist of evil that she saved some blood from a would-be victim 4 months ago. Then, several plot twists and turns later, she has planted the would-be victim’s blood on her clothes so she can accuse the victim of attacking her (Madison). Got that?
Okay, the details don’t matter. It’s complicated.
And that’s the point.
Sometimes you’ve got to plan way ahead. It’s a skill set that evil geniuses possess on steroids.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t use it, too.
Like planning ahead for Life Insurance month.
Yes, it’s coming up. In 6 months.
But now’s the time to start your campaign. Start helping prospects to think about it now. By posting articles on your social sites, on your blog and by sending emails about all aspects of life insurance.
Then in September, when everybody starts their Life Insurance shopping (because it’s month for it, right?), they’re thinking of you already. Top of mind.
Okay maybe it doesn’t work quite that way. It’s not exactly Christmas for life insurance sales people. Even if it would be nice sometimes.
Still, promoting life insurance can help you and definitely help your prospects and clients, so it doesn’t hurt to promote early and often.
But where are you going to get all the content you’ll need?
It so happens I have the perfect solution for you. Something new from Smarts.
