You might know that Winston Churchill used similar words to describe Britain’s relationship to Europe after World War II.
We are with Europe but not of it. We are linked, not combined. We are interested and associated, not absorbed.
That’s how I think of our relationship to the agencies we serve. We are publishers of insurance marketing content, not insurance agents. But our interests are the same as yours. We strive to serve your customers.
As we make your business stronger, so you make ours.
Good content marketing takes the customer’s point of view and shows them how you can solve their problems and make their lives better.
As publishers, we do that on your behalf — choosing subjects, putting together articles and crafting copy while standing in your place.
It’s an honor and a privilege for us to do this for agents all over the country.
So I just want to say that.
But here’s the other thing I want to mention.
One of the reasons we’ve been successful for many years is that not all of us were trained as journalists. Some of us who write your articles are actually former agents (like me). And we are always looking for others in the insurance business who might like to write articles as well.
Yes, I’m talking to you.
If you’re interested.
Do you have expertise and want to share your knowledge? Don’t worry if your prose isn’t polished or you don’t have much experience writing newsletters. We’ll help with that.
If this sounds like something you’d like to try or you know someone who would like to write about workers’ comp; or health insurance or any other insurance subjects, send me an email.
Here’s a thought for the rest of you. The beginning of the year is a good time to start using newsletters for nurturing and building relationships. Get a sample at our website.
